Alligator in the Swamp is this week’s PE Activity of the Week, which focuses on cooperation and teamwork.
Active Superstars plan, coordinate and prepare fun, energising games for children to participate in during our sports sessions. We like to be as unique as possible and ensure children have fun whilst working hard and learning new skills. Each week we share our favourite ‘PE Activity of the Week’ to give you an insight into our sessions and provide some inspiration for games of your own.
The Object of the Game:
The object of the game is for all team members to get from one side of the room to the other without touching the lava, by using potato sacks. Children must work out a way to get all team members across.
Skills Acquired:
- Teamwork

- Speed
Instructions:
- Divide players into two teams, who then receive potato sacks, one less than the number of people in the group.
- The children must work out a way to get the whole team from one end of the room to the other by using the sacks, but the sacks must be touched at all times otherwise they will be ‘lost’ to the lava
- The first team to get all team mates back to the other side of the room are the winners
