Learning is a Lifelong Lesson

Posted on 20th December 2017

Learning does not only take place in schools, but is a lifelong process.

Even small day to day tasks may have a lesson buried beneath them, but this will all help when looking at the bigger picture.

Learning has many great benefits, such as helping you to better yourself and better others.

Learning starts from listening to others. This is why it is important for children to learn the importance of listening to others, not only their teachers and parents but peers too. Knowledge is a gift and can be passed on.

Another great way to continue to learn is by gaining feedback. This also helps with individual improvement. By gaining feedback from others, individuals will learn how they can improve, and what they are doing well at. This will help them in the future.

Learning can come from all sorts of resources, not only from others but also books. The internet offers a wide range of learning resources, such as child friendly blogs and websites.

Putting these lessons into practise is vital to help learn. People learn in a variety of ways, some through reading, others learn more visually. Great places to help learn is from museums, or simply making something practical. For example, reading a recipe may not always help a child to learn best, but baking the cake may help to inforce the knowledge.

Ask yourself – what have you learnt today?
